Garbage & Landfills Icon
LANDFILL & DISPOSAL SERVICES

Manage waste through a network of landfills and facilities designed for safe, compliant, and efficient disposal:

Magnolia Landfill (287 acres) processes over 1,000 tons daily and serves 300+ customers. Services include municipal solid waste, construction and demolition debris, biosolids, composting, leachate treatment, and a gas recovery system that supplies renewable energy to Riviera Utilities.

MacBride Landfill (88.8 acres) and Eastfork Landfill (115 acres) handle construction and demolition debris, serving hundreds of customers daily.

Bay Minette Transfer Station consolidates waste for transport, processing more than 125 tons daily.

RECYCLING & MRF OPERATIONS

Our recycling service offers convenient curbside pickup and multiple drop-off options. All collected materials are processed at our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where advanced systems like the Green Machine sort recyclables for reuse. We also operate CHaRM facilities and provide education through the Waste & Recycling Adventure Center and the Mobile Adventure Trailer.

RESIDENTIAL COLLECTION SERVICES

Provide weekly curbside garbage and recycling collection to approximately 55,000 customers across 16 daily routes, including bulky item removal, yard debris collection, and cart delivery and maintenance.

Customer Engagement​

The team manages the day‑to‑day customer experience, including billing support, account management, and call center operations, handling an average of 6,000 calls and 725 account updates each month. They also handle medical assistance requests, which are only provided once the need is verified and approved by the resident’s doctor. In addition, the team manages special services for community events, ensuring proper waste coordination, on‑site support, and responsive service to maintain safe, clean, and well‑organized event environments.

SUPPORT DEPARTMENTS

These departments support operational success, compliance, communication, sustainability, and organizational growth.

FINANCE

Oversees budgeting, purchasing, payroll, financial reporting, and scale house operations to ensure accurate tracking, efficient facility operations, and responsible stewardship of public resources while supporting long-term planning.

MARKETING

Promotes programs, services, and initiatives through outreach, education, and strategic communication to keep residents informed and increase participation in waste and recycling efforts.

HUMAN RESOURCES (HR)

Recruits, trains, and supports our workforce to build a skilled, safety-focused, and service-driven team. Through ongoing training, hands-on experience, and a commitment to professional growth, we equip our employees with the tools and knowledge they need to serve Baldwin County with excellence every day.

LITTER PATROL

Manages Baldwin County’s Litter Patrol program, helping keep approximately 88 miles of county roads and rights‑of‑way free of litter and debris. Through regular cleanups and ongoing maintenance, our team works to preserve the beauty of Baldwin County, protect natural resources, and ensure our communities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike. COMPLIANCE

Ensures all operations meet local, state, and federal regulations while actively supporting enforcement and resolution efforts. Our team works with the District Attorney’s office on more than 30 cases monthly, swears in individuals for process serving, and participates in regular District Court proceedings and hearing dockets. We also host monthly Show Cause hearings and respond to illegal dumping, citizen disputes, burning violations, and other compliance-related concerns to maintain safe and responsible operations.

MAINTENANCE

Services collection vehicles, heavy equipment, facility machinery, and support systems to ensure everything operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Through preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and upgrades, they help minimize downtime and keep essential services moving without interruption. Their work supports every department and helps deliver the dependable service Baldwin County residents rely on each day.
