BILLING FAQs

Customers applying for residential garbage or recycling services may submit completed application forms using any of the following methods:

If you have questions about service availability, billing, or the application process, please contact our Customer Engagement Team at 251-972-6878.

If your garbage or recycling was missed, please submit a missed pickup request using our online form. Our team will review the request and follow up as quickly as possible.

Submit a Missed Pickup Request

Please be prepared to provide:

  • Service address
  • Contact information
  • Type of missed service (garbage or recycling)
  • Any additional details that may help our collections team

To help ensure safe and efficient collection:

  • Place carts curbside by 6:00 AM on your pickup day
  • Leave at least 4 feet of clearance around the cart
  • Do not block carts with vehicles, mailboxes, basketball goals, or other objects

The Dumpster Exemption Form is used by residents or property owners requesting an exemption from mandatory garbage collection services due to qualifying circumstances.

This form may apply to residents, businesses, or properties that already utilize an approved dumpster service or meet other exemption requirements established by SWDA.

Applicants may be asked to provide:

  • Property address
  • Account information
  • Proof of private dumpster service or qualifying exemption documentation

Completed forms may be submitted online, by email, fax, or mail depending on the submission instructions provided on the form.

The Property Status Form is used to notify SWDA of changes related to a property’s occupancy or service status.

This form should be completed if a property is:

  • Vacant
  • Under construction
  • Sold or transferred
  • No longer occupied
  • Experiencing a service-related status change

Please be prepared to provide:

  • Property address
  • Owner contact information
  • Description of the property status change
  • Supporting documentation if requested

Completed forms may be submitted using the instructions listed on the form, including email, fax, mail, or online submission options if available.

Properties with four or more residential rental units located in unincorporated Baldwin County may be subject to specific garbage collection requirements, including dumpster service standards established by SWDA.
