A cubic yard means a volume the same as a cube that is one yard on each edge. In other words, it is 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep by 3 feet high. Some common approximations of cubic yard measurements:
One standard stove = 1 cubic yard
Two standard refrigerators = 4 cubic yards
The bed of a regular size pick-up truck filled to the top of the cab = 4.5 cubic yards

Do not place items under power lines or within four (4) feet of any other object (mailboxes, fire hydrants, fences, trees etc.). Items/Material must be placed neatly in separate piles on the right of way as different trucks may be utilized in the pickup process.
